Locked Out and Locked In
On Monday, a security policy at work changed and because I misunderstood -- well, depending on the mood I'm in, I might prefer to say I was given bad information -- on Tuesday I discovered I was locked out of all my systems. The one device I had set up to do the security check properly (I'm deliberately being vague on details) had somehow gotten borked, and the setup is such that if you have one trusted device, you must use that to establish trust on other devices, there's no other way ... but I couldn't use that device to set up others because it had gotten borked.
Today, finally, It got fixed. We had to delete the trust in that device and I had to start over completely from scratch. As it happened, starting from scratch was pretty painless and I enrolled three devices in twenty minutes, including the formerly-borked one. But that came at the end of two work days where I could not do a single gotdam thing.
Meanwhile, I began the Easter story, and I've been pretty focused on doing renders for that -- back in story mode to the exclusion of all else, yup. Predictable.
I'm not bothering to plot a plot for this one. I mean, I know vaguely what happens, but I'm flying without a net, just doing renders and letting it go where it may. Past experience suggests this means I'll get a story that fucks like it pitches, but eh, it's Easter fluff, that's allowed. Last Easter's was the same, and I enjoyed it a lot.
ANNIE: All right, let's get to it. How WAS Ebby Calvin LaLoosh?
MILLIE: Well ... he fucks like he pitches ... kind of all over the place.
