Everything's coming up Milhouse
Let's see.
So, I already said that I did the hard part of the major have-to-do-this-by-1-June work thing that has caused me no end of stress and frustration. I'm still going to write a longer piece about that, and I still have some cleanup to do, but the point is, cross that off the list.
And today I did another thing that was on my "gots to happen by 1 June" list and it turned out that not only was it not going to be the absolute shitshow I thought it would be, but that someone had actually put a solution to the problem on the web (where I had thought there was none) and the solution worked. So cross that fucker off the list too.
The big Sleeper Squad is "six parts plus an intermission." (Says so right under the title.) I have completely finished two parts of six, am halfway through the third part, and tonight wrote the dialogue for a scene which was going to be extremely tricky and delicate to handle correctly, and I think I did a pretty good job of it.
Next week is a very quiet week at work, knock wood, and with the large beast slain I'm hoping to have a few days to work on some things I'd really like to work on and also get a lot of story renders done. I don't care if I get so ahead of schedule I finish this damned thing by the end of the first week in June. [NOTE: that will not happen.] I want all the lead time I can grab.
My knee was really giving me a lot of trouble for two days but it seems to have calmed down after its flareup. I still need to take the next stages in looking into What Can Modern Medicine Do For Me, but at least I'm now back in a state where it isn't interfering with my sleep because I can't find a comfortable position.
Also, we didn't get hit by a meteor yesterday, so we got that going for us.
