The Hallowe'en story is finished. After many delays, including some where the author was just "I can't look at this tonight, I'm too tired/in pain/whatever."

Been a pretty rough two weeks.

The heavy HVAC work on the house is also finished. I don't care to write up that saga yet, but it means that the period of Contractors Destroying Our Lives is largely over. There is still a lot of cleanup to be done -- including some day in the very near future where we won't have power because our service panel needs to be replaced with a larger one -- but for now, we are enjoying this breather of a weekend and relative peace and contentment.

Not even the nor'easter currently battering us can dim our mood.
